Building Classrooms, Building Futures: MP English Medium Primary School, Polepally
The Need
MP English Medium Primary School in RS Colony, Polepally, Khammam District, Telangana, is a government-run primary school currently serving 105 students across Classes 1 to 5. Like many government primary schools in rural Telangana, it faces a critical shortage of classroom space and adequate student seating — constraints that directly affect the learning environment for young children in the most formative years of their education.
Athisya Foundation has undertaken this project to address that gap, working in partnership with the school and local community to provide safe, functional infrastructure where children can learn without overcrowding or discomfort.
What We're Building
Classroom Construction — Four new classrooms, each measuring 20 x 20 feet, built to accommodate the school's growing student strength with proper ventilation, lighting, and durability suited to daily school use.
Student Furniture — Complete furniture provisioning for all 105 students, using durable MS-frame, wood/board-top bench-desk sets (21 five-seater sets), designed to withstand years of active classroom use while remaining comfortable for children in Classes 1 through 5.
Project Investment
We believe in complete transparency with our donors — every rupee contributed is tracked, receipted, and reported through our official donation and audit systems.
Who's Behind It
The project is led by Martin Leo Joseph Palraj, Founder & Director of Athisya Foundation, who holds overall responsibility for the project's execution and accountability. On-ground coordination — including construction monitoring and furniture installation — is managed by Singh Ashwini, our appointed Project Volunteer, who is also authorized to collect donations on behalf of the Foundation under an official Board Resolution, subject to strict cash-handling and reporting safeguards.
Why Your Support Matters
Every classroom we build and every bench we provide directly changes the daily experience of a child who might otherwise be learning on the floor or squeezed three-to-a-desk. This is a small, focused, fully costed project with a clear, measurable outcome: 105 children, learning in a proper classroom, by name.
